We are currently accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year. Children must be at least three years old by Aug. 31, 2021, to be eligible. You can request an application packet be mailed to you by calling (253) 583-5360 or by emailing [email protected].

To pick up an application in person please visit the Clover Park Early Learning Program at 10202 Earley Ave. SW Lakewood, WA 98499. Our building is open 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesdays the building is open 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Questions and Answers

Q. Who is eligible for the program?

A. Children must be at least three years old by Aug. 31 of the current school year to enroll in the Early Learning Program. Children that are four years old by Aug. 31 will receive enrollment priority before children that are three years old by Aug. 31. All applications will be prioritized based on family risk factors such a low-income, homelessness, foster care and child protective services involvement.

Q. What is the purpose of the Clover Park Early Learning Program?

A. The Clover Park Early Learning Program provides enriching experiences that help children learn and develop in a number of ways. The early childhood day is focused on building skills that are important for all children. Our teachers plan meaningful daily lessons that encourage children to develop and practice behaviors such as persistence, empathy, problem solving and thinking skills.

Q. What Early Learning Programs does Clover Park School District offer?

A. Clover Park School District offers Head Start and Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP). The Early Learning Program is located at the following schools:

  • Clover Park Early Learning Program
  • Tillicum Elementary School
  • Evergreen Elementary School
  • Hillside Elementary School
  • Rainer Elementary School

All locations provide half-day classes. Times may vary by location.

Q. What if my child is not three years old by Aug. 31?

A. Your family may be eligible for Early Head Start. Early Head Start provides free services to eligible families with infants and toddlers. For more information, email Lindsey Stephens or call (253) 254-5160.

Q. What if I am concerned that my child may have a disability?

 If you believe your child has a disability and requires Special Education Services, a child find screening can be scheduled by calling (253) 583-5170.
