Dear Wildcat Families,

Spring is approaching and learning is in full swing at Woodbrook Middle School. March is a busy month, please mark your calendars with these important dates.

Student Led Conferences will be held March 13th, 14th, and 15th . It is important that we take this opportunity to meet with each student and their families. Student will update you on their progress, register for next year, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding your students’ progress. If you have not scheduled a time for your child’s student led conference, please call our main office so we can assist you.

MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Testing will begin March 18 and run through March 29, with make-up testing the week of April 8th- 12th . Please make every effort to have your student to school on time and avoid being absent. MAP data is one of the assessments we use to determine if a student needs additional support in the areas of reading and math.

March 29th is the end of 3rd quarter, take a few minutes to check Skyward with your student. If students have missing assignments or assessment they need to complete, please remind them to check in with their teacher. Students can sign up for AYPYN and attend guided study to work on assignments or make arrangements to complete assessments. Permission for AYPYN programs can be picked up in our main office. If you have any questions, please call our main office.

Our Spring Band Concert and Art Walk will be held on March 20th from 6:00-7:30 in the gym and cafeteria. Please joins us for a fun evening with our very talented band and art students.

As we head into spring and warmer temperatures, we want to remind students of the Woodbrook dress code policy. Our district dress code is designed to promote a standard of dress that complements a positive, safe, academic, and effective learning environment. The dress code policy can be found on page 3 of the Woodbrook Student Handbook/Agenda. Your support in reviewing dress code expectation is greatly appreciated.

As always, thank you for being partners in our endeavors to support the growth and development of your student/s.

Respectfully,
Rebecca Kay Sprague
