Greetings Woodbrook Families,

November is the month we honor our veterans. Veteran's day is a remembrance of all U.S. military veterans – past and present. We value and appreciate the service and sacrifice made by those in all military branches, thank you for your dedication! Please join us for a school wide assembly as we honor those who have served and are currently serving in the military. The assembly will be held on Friday, November 9th at 10:45 in the Woodbrook gym.

It is hard to believe the first quarter of school is already over. Student report cards were mailed home on November 2nd, if you did not receive a report card, please contact our guidance office and we can provide one for you.

A few important reminders for families regarding buses. If your student is requesting to ride a different bus home (to go to a friend’s house or other) please send a note. Your student needs to bring the note to the main office to get approval. Our main office will call you to verify, and an approval notice will be given to your student to provide to the bus driver. Students needs to take care of this in the morning or at lunch. Notes brought to the main office after school leave little time to verify prior to buses leaving. Please provide a phone number on the note, so we can reach you for verification.
After school bus transportation is only available to students who have permission to be at Woodbrook for sports, AYPYN activities, clubs, and ASB meetings. If a student is not signed in for one of these opportunities immediately following the 3:15 bell, after school supervisors will not allow students to board the 5:30 bus. All students who are not signed up with one of these activities must leave campus at the end of the regular school day.

Our next sports season is just around the corner; it begins on November 13th. If your student plans to participate, please make sure they have all the necessary paper work completed and have been cleared prior to November 13th.

Have a wonderful November and don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns or celebrations.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Sprague
